Fees to Join

Home

Dues are due to be paid by February of each year at a cost of $24. Anyone wishing to join the Chapter between January and June will be expected to pay $24. If they join between June and December the fee will be $15. Those who do not pay for membership will be expected to pay $20 each meeting for their attendance. When big name speakers are planned (those that require large fees to speak for the Chapter), each member will pay $10 to hear the speaker’s lecture.  Non-members will pay $25 to attend that specific meeting. If the Chapter is not expected to pay for the speaker, the attendance for members is free. The non-member will still pay $25.

Each member will receive a membership card and will be expected to show the card at each meeting. Attendance will be tracked. We have not done this in the past and we know there has been attendance by nurses who have not paid. This was allowed only because we wanted to show everyone interested what we have to offer and hope to increase interest in attendance. It is only fair to those committed to the chapter to be stricter as the demands on the chapter change. So, as we ask for strict attention to dues, we offer our commitment to expect the same from everyone who comes to the meetings.

Officers for the Chapter are eligible for financial assistance to attend the INS National Meetings to obtain the credits for maintenance of their CRNI status. The Capitol Chapter will not pay for rooms, airfare, or meals, only the cost of admission to the convention one time during the three-year credentialing period. If the money is paid to the Officer and they do not attend, they will be expected to reimburse the Chapter. Also, there is one admission available each year to members who attend all the meetings offered in a one year period and assist in the presentation of an educational lecture for the Chapter members. This is offered to increase strong commitment to the Chapter.
